Philadelphia Flyers power forward Wayne Simmonds has been mentioned in plenty of trade rumors going back last season. With Simmonds entering the final year of his deal at the age of 30, there's been plenty of talk about the Flyers moving on from one of their hardest workers. Flyers general manager Ron Hextall has been pretty quiet when it comes to Simmonds but he has stated the Flyers would like to look at extending his contract. Simmonds spoke recently while attending a special training camp in Ontario and confirmed some pretty good news. The Flyers forward confirmed that the two sides have had preliminary contract talks, but Simmonds himself is more focused on proving to everybody that he's healthy and back to the power forward he's known to be. "I've gotta get healthy, first and foremost, and show (them) that I am the player that I was, I think, two years ago," Simmonds said, according to John Matisz of The Score. Are you hoping that Simmonds is re-upped by Hextall?
