Former Philadelphia Flyers captain Eric Lindros recently spoke at a concussion symposium in Canada and had some interesting comments. Of course the Flyers legend had his fair share of injuries and concussions over his career as did his brother Brett who was forced to retire after only two seasons in the league. Lindros still plays hockey, non contact of course and proposed some rule changes during his appearance at the concussion symposium. "Let's get right to it. You talk about me playing. I love hockey and I continue playing hockey. But it's funny—the hockey I was playing all those years was really physical, and I have just as much fun [these days], but we don't run into one another. We're still having as much fun, the same enjoyment of it. We know concussions are down in a league without contact."Lindros was kind of flamed for his comments and clarified them a couple of days later on Twitter. "To clarify, I believe clean body contact should have a place in the upper aged tiers and professional hockey. There is an importance for non contact leagues including youth teams and non pro"
What do you think of Lindros' comments?
