By now it is no secret that the Flyers are a legitimate, playoff team in 2023-24. However, not many can admit that they saw the Philadelphia Flyers in this position at the start of the season in October. With the Flyers sitting at third in the Metro Division and turning heads of hockey experts everywhere, is the Flyers bench boss deserving of the Jack Adams award?

As of Saturday night, the Philadelphia Flyers sit at third place in the Metro Division, with 27 wins and 60 points, just three points behind the Carolina Hurricanes. After a dismal 2022-23 season that saw the Flyers record just 31 wins and 75 points, the question must be asked:
Should John Tortorella win the Jack Adams Coach of the Year Award?
Must read on FlyersInsider
Not only have the Flyers shown progress on the ice with winning games and also leading the league in some categories such as the penalty kill, breakaway goals, and shorthanded goals, but Tortorella has singlehandedly changed the culture in Philadelphia.
With a franchise in desperate need of a turnaround, Tortorella has unapologetically turned the orange and black into a franchise to be proud of. Whether its calling reporters out for false information or benching guys like Morgan Frost in hopes of a turnaround, Tortorella has brought his style into Philly and, for the most part, has seen success.
If the Flyers make their first playoff appearance in four years will Tortorella be a lock for the Jack Adams Award?
