Everyone in sports knows the saying "if you look good, you play good". Uniforms are one of the most captivating aspects of sports. From the iconic silver and black of the NFL's Raiders, to the New York Yankees pinstripes in the MLB, the Lakers purple and gold in the NBA, to the iconic bright red sweaters of the Red Wings, uniforms and fashion are a major aspect to sports. For a certain Flyers goalie, a recent style change has fans hoping for some incoming wins.

After Carter Hart was granted a leave of absence from the Flyers, Philadelphia called up goalie Cal Petersen from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Petersen played three games with the Flyers earlier in the season, but it appears that he is here to stick around for the rest of the season and backup goalie Samuel Ersson as the Flyers contend for a playoff spot.
During morning skate on Thursday, Petersen dawned his brand new mask, giving Petersen a fresh, clean and new look as the Flyers begin the second half stretch of their season.
Petersen unveiled a beautiful, bright white mask with orange accents that especially pop with the white background. His number and the Flyers logo are also on the mask painted in black.
Before this mask, Petersen wore sort of a bland, dark black mask. This mask is sure to shine and be noticed by many.
