The Philadelphia Flyers made a bold move last year and called up goalie prospect Carter Hart. It's a move that many believe was a result of the Ron Hextall firing and worked out pretty well. The 21 year old goalie had a pretty solid season in front of an uninspired Flyers team registering a 2.83 goals against average and .917 save percentage. Craig Custance of the Athletic spoke to GM's and goalie coaches across the league to rank the NHL's goalies. The GM's had some honest comments on Hart. "Too early to tell but I think he's pretty good," said a GM, echoing the thoughts of his colleagues."I like him," said another GM. "He's going to be really good."One goalie coach was impressed by Hart's performance last year considering the team he had in front of him. "He's young, he's a little bit on the smaller side. He's not that 6-3 or 6-4 goalie that covers more net," said a goalie coach. "He's extremely skilled, he has a real bright future. They didn't have a great team last year … there will be growing pains and guys get more of a read on a guy. He has a bright future, I just don't know if he's going to jump right into the Vezina Trophy (conversation)."
