Trade speculation regarding forward Wayne Simmonds continues to snowball and build. According to reports it's unlikely the Flyers are willing to dish out a long term contract to Simmonds and willing to move the forward. With Simmonds on the trade block, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Daily News reports on what general manager Ron Hextall is looking for in return. It's simple, a first round pick and a prospect. The worry for teams around the league is the injury history, especially the injury riddled 2017-18 season, but at the end of the day Simmonds has no problem putting up 30 goals and can be a key piece on the power play. While Simmonds is likely on the move, Carchidi points out Hextall won't budge from his asking price and will keep Simmonds until the trade deadline if he can't get what he wants right now.
