Philadelphia Flyers general manager Chuck Fletcher was the first to make a pretty major strike during the NHL offseason. Fletcher acquired the negotiation rights to pending free agent Kevin Hayes and based on his history with Alain Vigneault, it's more than likely a deal is made. This helps fill the hole at second line center that many worried about, however the team still needs to add some goal scoring. The solution might not be on the free agent market but instead through restricted free agency and an offer sheet. David Schoen of the Las Vegas Review-Journal believes the Vegas Golden Knights are in a tough spot with restricted free agent William Karlsson and wouldn't be surprised if the 26 year old received an offer sheet from another team. The Golden Knights have literally no cap space and still need to re-sign some players. Schoen labels the Flyers as a team which could come through and offer the former 40 goal scorer a nice $7million a year contract. Karlsson scored 43 goals during his first season in Vegas but dropped off a bit with 24 goals last season, that total however would have had him tied for third on the Flyers roster with Travis Konecny and was two goals more than Claude Giroux and four goals more than Jakub Voracek. Would you like to see Karlsson in a Flyers' uniform?
