Elias Pettersson has been the latest name surrounding trade talks as the Canucks forward contract is up at the end of the season and it seems as though he can't come to an agreement with the team.
If the Canucks cannot sign Pettersson before the deadline they will surely try to move him in a blockbuster trade. TSN Insider Pierre Lebrun confirmed that two teams have already reached out to the Canucks asking about Pettersson.
It is believed by many that Canucks have offered an 8 year 12 million dollars contract but that the forward may be seeking either more money with the cap going up this summer or a change of scenery.
If the Canucks decide to put the 25 year-old on the trading block, they will surely be getting a lot of calls. Pettersson has 75 points in 61 games this season which ranks him 10th overall in points in the entire league.
