Saturday night was an incredible hockey night with plenty of action featuring 13 games of action, drama, and entertainment. From the Detroit Red Wings staying hot and knocking off Vancouver to a potential Stanley Cup matchup featuring Colorado and Florida, hockey season was in full swing on Saturday night. Out of all 13 games, one historic rivalry took the cake with a chaotic ending to say the least.

Last night saw another chapter in the Battle of Ontario as the Toronto Maple Leafs made the short trip to Ottawa to take on the Senators. It proved to be an entertaining battle, with both teams exchanging blows all night and going back and fourth, featuring a second period that saw four goals.
With time winding down in the third period as the Senators had a 4-3 lead, the Leafs pulled their goalie and had an empty net to make a last chance effort to tie the game. Unfortunately for Leafs fans, the Senators gained possession as the final seconds wound down.
As Ridly Greig skated down the ice towards the open net with time expiring, Greig broke an unwritten rule as he wound up and fired a slapshot into the empty net. What happened after was pure chaos
After Greig scored in an attempt to show up his opponent, Morgan Rielly from the Leafs immediately made a b-line towards Greig and shoved him in the face knocking him on the ground as both teams began to go at it. It was straight old school hockey to end the night and fans went nuts on social media for it.
Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe was quick to defend his player, supporting his decision to go after Greig who absolutely crossed a line with his goal.
