In the third period in Saturday's 7-4 loss to the Colorado Avalanche, Flyers offensive star Owen Tippett suffered a scary lower body injury after crashing into the boards. Despite the scary sight, Tippett already showed great progress just a day after suffering the injury.

Although Tippett remained out of the lineup for Sunday's loss against the Ottawa Senators, the Flyers right wing is already working to get back on the ice in full force for the orange and black.

Tippett was able to hit the ice and skate around and go through some drills for a few hours with Flyers trainer Tommy Alva hours before the Flyers hosted Ottawa on Sunday.

Nothing has been announced yet and Tippett is still listed as day-to-day, the Flyers shot-making spark could be back very soon. Seeing Tippett skate around was a great sight for Flyers fans and almost a sigh of relief as his injury on Saturday was a scary sight.

Tippett has been a huge offensive boost this season, pouring in 18 goals to go along with 30 total points. The Flyers host the Lightning on Tuesday night as Tippett continues to make his push for a return.
