The 2023-2024 season for the Anaheim Ducks must be one of the worst any fan has watched in recent memory. It seems no matter what happens to this team the news continues to get worse.

More bad news came last night as the ducks star winger Trevor Zegras has been suffered a broken ankle and now will be out for six to eight weeks.
The 22 year old centre has had a down year in terms of point production and defensive play. In the 20 games he's played, he scored four goals with three assists for seven points and is a 5. It should be worth noting though, the ducks are mired in a full rebuild mode which has made the team atrocious.
Recently, there were rumors in the NHL that Zegras was being shopped by the ducks which turned out to be not true. As the team gets better and it acquires a better player to help Zegras, his numbers should rise rapidly and become the player they expect him to be.
