This morning the Tampa Bay Lightning released special edition uniforms that sent social media into a frenzy. Tampa released the "2024 Gasparilla" special edition uniforms that they will dawn on Saturday, January 27 against the New Jersey Devils.
I must admit, the jerseys are pretty slick.
January 27 is the annual holiday of Gasparilla that the city of Tampa celebrates each year on the last week of January. Citizens pack the streets dressed as pirates and celebrate with parade floats and necklace beads.
The Lightning jerseys represent that perfectly as the white jersey with black accents has a skull and crossbones, with the lightning bolt mixed in giving it the pirate vibe.
The jerseys hit the store on January 17 and are sure to be a hit not only among Tampa fans, but all hockey fans.
