In tonight's, Carolina Hurricanes' 4-1 victory over the Boston Bruins, we saw one of the slickest goals all season long. In the 2nd period, Carolina Hurricnaes' Andrei Svechnikov came around the net and executes the Michigan goal. Originally, the referees did not call it a goal on the ice and after review, it was confirmed that it was a goal.

🤯 SVECH DOES IT AGAIN 🤯

HE SCORES A MICHIGAN!
The Michigan goal was named this, after Mike Legg scored this type of goal while playing for the University of Michigan in 1996. Andrei Svechnikov is the first NHL player to score this type of goal (the Michigan). He scored his first one in October of 2019, then again in December of 2019 and this is the third time he has scored a Michigan goal. Now, multiple NHL players have followed suit and scored Michigan goals since 2019. Hopefully, we can continue to see highlight reel goals like this in this year's playoffs.
