Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Ivan Fedotov made a hilarious mistake in overtime against the New York Islanders in last night game. The mistake that Ivan Fedotov made was when he did not switch sides after the 3rd period and to start overtime, he was on the wrong side of the rink.

This was awesome......love the Varlamov "tap" 😀
When New York Islanders' goaltender Varlamov skated by to go to an already occupied net, he gave Ivan Fedotov a gentle tap to let him know he was on the wrong side. Accoring to the site The Hockey News Ivan Fedotov stated after the game that he did not switch sides because in the KHL, goaltenders do not switch sides to start overtime.
"We always play [on the] same side," he said. "So when [the teams changed sides], it was kind of funny, like, 'What's going on?' And the other goalie saying, 'You need to go to the other side.'"

That was the only moment for the Flyers in overtime as soon after that, the Flyers had a bad turnover and did not give Ivan Fedotov much of chance to make a stop. With that overtime loss, the Flyers have now lost 5 straight games, however they have a chance to turn things around, This Friday night at 7pm when they take on the Buffalo Sabres in Buffalo, New York.
