Wednesday night seemingly felt like the beginning of a new era in Flyers hockey as the Flyers newest defenseman Jamie Drysdale ignited the Philadelphia fanbase by scoring a point in his Flyers debut. After the game, a former teammate of Drysdale and someone who has been in trade rumors, posted a cryptic Instagram story that has Flyers fans buzzing.

After every victory in the Flyers locker room, the team chooses a player of the game to dawn the affectionate "dog mask" to symbolize the underdog. Wednesday night, the Flyers chose newest defenseman Jamie Drysdale after Drysdale recorded a point on an assist on a powerplay goal by Morgan Frost.
After the game, the Flyers chose their newest teammate in Drysdale to dawn the mask as the team posted it on social media. After being involved in recent trade rumors, 22-year-old NHL star and former teammate of Drysdale, Trevor Zegras, reposted the video of Drysdale in the dog mask on his instagram story, with a smile face emoji to follow.
Could this be a sign of things to come? Or could it be Zegras petitioning for the Flyers to come and grab him? Whatever it may be, the buzz around Drysdale and the Flyers has been exciting since Monday night.
