A reporter threw a huge bomb regarding the identity of the Flyers' next head coach

Yesterday, Chuck Fletcher said that there wasn't any timeline for the hiring of the next Flyers' head coach. However, they are going to begin the process to find the right person rather sooner than later.

However, Jamey Baskow, a Flyers' beat reporter, said that he "firmly believe that the Flyers already know who their next Head Coach will be, and it could be an assistant in the playoffs."

His guess is St. Louis Blues Assistant Coach Jim Montgomery. Before joining the Blues, he was the Dallas Stars head coach where he posted a 60-43-10 in 113 games. He also made the Playoffs in his only full season with the club, but lost in the second round.

During the 2019-20 campaign, he was fired because of alcohol problems and went into rehab.
