Yes we get it. The team is having a nightmare of a season and Flyers fans are sick of it. Covid is still going on and the NHL didn't go to the Olympics. We're halfway through the season and what better way to show your team frustration than by stopping coming to games. Last night at the warm-ups, the stadium was almost empty.
As of today, Philadelphia ranks 16th in the league for home attendance with an average crowd of 16,741 people. Through twenty three home games, this means the team has had about 385,048 total fans cheering in person this year. Here are some comparative stats.

Out of the 19,500 available seating spots, this gives the Flyers a 69.1% attendance rate. To further illustrate this mess, the Seattle Kraken and Dallas Stars have both had better attendance numbers than Philly. That's an expansion team and a team in Texas.
And if you're thinking, that at least Philly is not last, that there are 32 teams in the league, the Flyers are placed 16th and all the Canadian teams plus Buffalo and Arizona are below us. If the Canadian teams were allowed full capacity we can make a really educated assumption that Philadelphia would be in the bottom 10's for attendance.
The Flyers have 18 games left and should set a goal to get that attendance up. Playing rookies, getting some wins and making moves at the deadline will all help this cause. Season's not over and there's still a lot to play for.
