Two players were called up to the NHL this morning, according to the Philadelphia Flyers. Tyson Foersterand Samuel Ersson, were both elevated from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms to complete the NHL roster. The team also indicated that the Foerster recall was an 'emergency recall', meaning forward Wade Allison is officially injured once again, and will remain out of the lineup tonight...
Foerster played in two games for the Flyers despite not recording a point after being called up earlier this month to make his NHL debut. On Sunday, he was sent back to Lehigh Valley, but he is now back in time to play the Vegas Golden Knights tonight.
Ersson has been called up to serve as the team's backup. Carter Hart, the Flyers' starting keeper and No. 1 overall, is out due to sickness. Felix Sandstrom will receive the call tonight, while Ersson will act as the number two option. Ersson has played in 10 NHL games so far this year, with a 3.07 GAA and.898 SV%. This season, the 23-year-old has played 31 AHL games with a 2.61 GAA and.907 SV%.
