Former Flyer fan favourite Shayne Gostisbehere has signed with the Detroit Red Wings on a one-year-deal worth $4.2 million.
The 30-year-old defensemen only played 23 games in Carolina after being acquired from the Arizona Coyotes.
Gostisbehere has played in over 500 career NHL games, racking up just over 300 points, with 87 goals and 244 assists across 3 different teams.
The ageing defensemen looks to start a new journey in Detroit, where he should get a lot of playing time.
