Nicklas Backstrom, the Washington Capitals forward, recently revealed his desire to return to his former club, Brynas IF, in Sweden. Backstrom, now 35 years old, started his hockey journey with Brynas IF before making his mark in the NHL.

In an interview, Backstrom addressed the topic, saying, "I have a dream to play in Brynas." While he cannot make any promises about the future, the potential return to his roots is something he envisions.
Despite facing injury challenges, Backstrom has been a consistent and impactful centerman throughout his NHL career, accumulating 1,032 points in 1,097 games.
His contributions played a crucial role in the Capitals' 2018 Stanley Cup victory. If Backstrom were to join Brynas IF, it would mark a significant move for the seasoned player.
