BREAKING: NHL Expansion Talks Are Officially Heating Up

The possibility of an expansion in Atlanta is gaining traction, fueled by the fact that TNT, a rights holder for the NHL, is based in the city.

This suggests that Atlanta could secure a franchise before Quebec or Hamilton. Previously, the Atlanta Thrashers played in the city from 1999 to 2011 before relocating to become the Winnipeg Jets.
