That pretty much sums it up. McDavid never had enough stability around him in order to take his team deep in the playoffs. It's the same thing for Claude Giroux.
Too many people criticized him in the last decade but different GMs never helped him. How can you expect to go far in the playoffs when you had four head coaches in the last 9 years?
I hope that he'll have a real shot at the Stanley Cup this spring. At 34 years old, it could be his last one...
