The Flyers are trying to modernize their approach and hiring two accomplished individuals to the analytics team should do just that. Something General Manager Chuck Fletcher mentioned last month.

She is set to join the team from The University of Massachusetts where she served as the Director of Analytics for two years. By the end of the UMASS hockey season, she will have a double master in Business Administration and Sports Management.
Anderson on the other hand has had a career in data analytics throughout his life. In software and e-commerce Anderson applied his skills in many different situations. He has also used his skills in the hocker world working for sports pages like Sportlogiq and was an analytics advisor for the Chicago Steel of the USHL.
Anderson has also played hockey before. While he was at Amherst college in Massachusetts he was named first team All-American.
These two new hirings only bolster the Flyers reputation heading into the 2022 NHL Draft. The department now has 5 members. These hirings also come after Daniel Brière's announcement as Special Advisor to the GM a few days earlier.
