After exploring his options as a free agent, NHL forward Derek Grant has chosen his next destination.

The 33-year-old has agreed to a one-year contract with Switzerland's ZSC Lions in the National League.
Grant's physical strength and ability to control the puck were key factors in the team's decision to sign him. Sven Leuenberger, the sporting director of ZSC Lions, praised Grant's size, toughness, and willingness to battle in front of the net.
Grant has played in 427 NHL games for various teams, including the Ottawa Senators, Calgary Flames, Buffalo Sabres, Nashville Predators, Pittsburgh Penguins, Philadelphia Flyers, and the Anaheim Ducks.

He has accumulated 132 points, 162 penalty minutes, and contributed two assists in the playoffs.
