Familiar face back with the Flyers

As the Flyers continue to climb in the standings and play some of their best hockey in the past number of years, the players received a welcome sight as one of their teammates Noah Cates returned to the lineup after being out with an injury since November 25th.

Cates sustained a broken foot which kept the 24-year-old from 22 games as he recovered. It was common last year that head coach John Tortorella would continue to sing Cates praises as he adhered to Tortorella's defensive first approach.
Just prior to the game against the St Louis Blues, Cates took to the media and explained how he felt on returning to the ice and with his teammates.

This season has not gone as well as last as he had only played 22 games, scoring one goal with three assists for four points and was a - 3. Last year, he played all 82 games, scoring 13 goals with 25 assists for 38 points and was a + 3.
Many hope this will be a reset for him and that he can regain his form that he had last year and begin the crucial step of solidifying a playoff spot for the Flyers which many thought was impossible going into the new season.
The Flyers will take to the ice at home against the Dallas Stars on Thursday January 18th. Game time will be 7:00 PM eastern.
