The Philadelphia Flyers will look to add to an impressive showing this past Saturday as they welcome their bitter rivals to town tonight as they take on the Pittsburgh Penguins at 7:00p.m. EST. This will be the second time the Pens have come to the Wells Fargo Center and the third matchup overall this season between these teams, with the Flyers taking both matchups.

Despite a slower start than usual from the Pens, they have been able to build some momentum to start 2024 as they come into tonight's matchup having won four of their past six games, including a 6-5 thriller against the NHL's top club in the East in the Boston Bruins. One thing that is always for certain in Flyers vs Pens is that no matter where these two teams fall in the standings, these teams are sure to bring the energy, animosity and drama.
One key to the Flyers success will be continuing to be strong on the penalty kill. The Flyers have been one of the top teams in the NHL on the penalty kill, led by All-Star Travis Konecny who leads the NHL in shorthanded goals with five, as he netted another win in Saturday's win against Calgary.

As always, the Flyers will be locked in on Jake Guentzel and Sidney Crosby as Guentzel leads the Pens in points with 43 points on 25 assists and 18 goals and Crosby leads the Pens in goals with 22 on the year. The Pens and Crosby have been a thorn in the Flyers side for over a decade, and there's no sign Pittsburgh will be letting up anytime soon.
After a solid start on Saturday afternoon, Carter Hart notched his tenth win of the season as he recorded 22 saves on 24 shots. It seems that Samuel Ersson will get the start against the Pens as Tortorella has been staggering both goalies making sure they receive ample rest time in between starts, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
Puck drop is set for 7:00p.m. EST at the Wells Fargo Center.
