Joel Farabee comes to teammates aid

In the second period of the Flyers victory on Saturday against the Calgary Flames, forward for Calgary Elias Lindholm delivered a massive hit on Flyers defenseman Cam York that saw Lindholm strike York in the head with an elbow.

Immediately after York hit the ice, Flyers teammate and left winger Joel Farabee came to York's aid and dropped gloves with Lindholm, bringing the fans at the Wells Fargo center to their feet.
Farabee let his fists do the talking as he landed a few rights before Lindholm dragged him to the ground. Although the Flyers lost Farabee for ten minutes, York turned out to be okay as he later returned. The hit also sent the Flyers on a powerplay as Lindholm served nine minutes, but the Flyers were unable to capitalize on the powerplay.
Although the powerplay didn't result in a goal, one thing is for certain and that is the Flyers surely made late owner Ed Snider proud on his 92nd birthday as they brought the fight and heart that Snider instilled in the orange and black for decades on end.
