Frost wants out of Torts' doghouse and holds a meeting
It would be an understatement to say that Morgan Frost has not had a great season so far this year. The 24-year-old who had a career year with the Flyers last year scoring 46 points in 81 games netted himself a nice $4.2 million contract over two years.
Flyers management and coaching staff expected him to continue to grow as a player as the Flyers signaled the beginnings of the rebuilding phase. In the first half of this season, he had not lived up to their expectations and has fell out of favor with head coach John Tortorella.
In 28 games, he has scored 6 goals with 7 assists for 13 points and is a +7.

As Frost had been benched several times during the season, he decided to take it upon himself to meet with his head coach and to discuss what needs to be done for him to get a spot permanently.
Torts, gave his thoughts on how the meeting went down and what Frost needs to do to be better.
It's clear that after the Calgary Flames game, frost came to life and potted one goal and one assist for two points against the Flames. This is a good start; Frost has a long way to go before he can fully earn his trust of his coach.
