Gauthier helps lead Team USA past Sweden to earn Gold

Flyers top prospect Cutter Gauthier put the cherry on top of his already stellar 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship showing as he helped lead Team USA to a Gold Medal Victory over Sweden 6-2. Gauthier was named the Tournament's top forward and has added to Flyers fans excitement. Gauthier was also named to the WJC Media All-Star Team.

Gauthier's talent was on display all tournament as not only his scoring ability was on display, but his passing ability and ability to create shots for his teammates was most impressive this tournament. Gauthier ended the tournament leading in points with 12 points on 10 assists and two goals.
Gauthier's signature moment came in the Semifinals on Thursday as he netted the game-winning goal against Finland to give team USA a 3-2 lead for good with an impressive goal with just three minutes left in the game.

Gauthier was emotional after the game and was extremely proud of seeing years of work result in a gold medal for Team USA.
"It means more than anything. We grinded everyday for two years for a chance at this. Everyone in that locker room are brothers. Those guys are going to be my family for the rest of my life."
