Great news for the fans' favorites

Flyers fan favorite Zack MacEwen was back on the ice for morning skate, after injuring himself in Saturday's game against the Leafs. He suffered an injury to the head.

On Saturday, MacEwen logged around 11 minutes of ice time and notched an assist in the 6-3 loss. Since then, he has missed the shootout victory against the Rangers and didn't play last night against the Blue Jackets.

"Mike Yeo believes Oskar Lindblom will be OK to play Thursday. Cam Atkinson, too."

Atkinson will be very glad to be back in the lineup against his former team. He will be officially making his return to Columbus for the first time since his trade. In an interview he did with Adam Kimelman from the NHL, he noted that he's both excited and anxious.

Atkinson ranks second in Blue Jackets franchise games played just behind Rick Nash.

"I'm going to have a lot of friends and family that will be attending that game, my dad, my wife, one of my boys I believe. I'm looking forward to it."

Atkinson spent the first decade of his career in Ohio and will probably take the team out for dinner if the Flyers manage a win. Glad to see people getting healthy again.
