Honestly, you can't make this up.

Let's go back to the 2017 NHL Draft. At the end of the 2016-17 campaign, the Flyers received good news as they had the opportunity to select second at the draft.
GM Ron Hextall used this pick to draft center Nolan Patrick. Five years later, the forward was traded to the Golden Knights. He played only 24 games this season with Vegas, registering 7 points during that span.
His time in Philadelphia did not go as planned. He went through tough phases, mostly because of injuries.

However, if you look at the top-5 of the 2017 draft class, Nolan Patrick was the only "bust". Nico Hischier, the first overall pick, is now the captain of the New Jersey Devils and has 190 points in 284 games since his debut in the league.
Miro Heiskanen, selected third overall by Dallas, is obviously the cornerstone of the Stars' defense. Cale Makar is now one of the best (if not the best) defenseman in the league. And to finish that off, Vancouver chose Elias Pettersson fifth overall. He's 4 points shy of 200, as he already played 227 games in his career.
Patrick is the only player of this top-5 who doesn't have at least 100 points.
