It's been more than three years since Chuck Fletcher was named GM of the Philadelphia Flyers. Did he make some good moves? Sure. One of them is the Cam Atksinon/Jakub Voracek trade.

It did in fact work for the Flyers and the Blue Jackets. Great move all around.
However, let's see how he did in the "contract signature" department.
Must read on FlyersInsider
Obviously, there's some great one. The six years and 30 M$ contract of Joel Farabee will provide very good value for the team. Let's not forget that Claude Giroux already said that Farabee will break his records.
In some extent, the Rasmus Ristolainen signing isn't as bad as it seems. Flyers needed some balance on the right side and his pairing with Travis Sanheim is working well.
But possibly the worst signing of his era is the eight years, 72M$ deal he gave to Sean Couturier. Don't get me wrong, Couturier is a fantastic two-way player, but giving this kind of contract to a guy who is turning 30 in a year could quickly become an enormous disappointment.
And let's not forget that he had a big surgery this year, as he only played 29 games on the year. During this stint, he only registered 17 points, which is in fact his worst point per game average since the 2016-17 season.
Is he already in a downfall?
Add to that the fact that he has a full no-movement clause until the last year of his deal (in 2029-30) and you have a recipe for disaster.
