Thursday night saw the Philadelphia Flyers earn another win against a top-NHL team as they dominated the Dallas Stars on their way to a 5-1 victory. The Flyers are winners of five straight and are only one game out of first place in the Metro Division.
Although head coach John Tortorella has told his players, fans and the media to pump the brakes on the playoff talk and to just focus on each day, it's hard to ignore how special this Flyers club has been.
Not only is this Flyers team showing that they can win, but they are showing they can compete with the NHL's best. The Flyers have garnered wins against many top ten teams such as the Colorado Avalanche, Las Vegas Golden Knights and Vancouver Canucks as they have shocked the league on their way.

To be specific, the Flyers have beaten six of the NHL's top ten teams, including a season sweep over the Vancouver Canucks. With their December and January schedule, many were unsure if the Flyers would even make it past those months.
As the Flyers sit in second place on January 19 on a five game winning streak, the 2023-24 Flyers are here to compete. The Flyers will face their next test on Saturday at home as they take on another top club in the Colorado Avalanche at 1:00p.m. EST.
