Earlier today, the Habs fired Dominique Ducharme as head coach. They didn't announce directly who was going to replace him.

But they rapidly made a shocking announcement: Martin St-Louis has been appointed as interim head coach of the club.

Some fans were a bit stunned by the news, but this could be a low risk, high reward move from Montreal. And at least, they hired a fresh face who never coached an NHL game. His situation will be readdressed at the end of the season.
