Auston Matthews has been crowned the Hart and Ted Lindsay Awards for this past NHL season.
The Leafs forward had a record breaking season being the first Leafs player in 67 years to win the Hart Trophy. He had a shattering 60 goals in 73 games this season totaling 106 points.
Matthews beat out Edmonton Oilers center Connor McDavid by a huge margin in voting for the win. The Leafs stud received 119 first place votes whereas McDavid has just 29. Igor Shesterkin finished in third place with 24 first place votes.

"Congrats to Auston Matthews, it's nice to see the Leafs winning something in June", said Kenen Thompson the host for the award show.
Notably, Matthews has the respect of the players around the league who despite probably hating having to play against him, crowned him as the Ted Lindsay Award winner. The league's most outstanding player as voted by the players themselves.
From an individual standpoint, what has Matthews not done? He needs the Stanley Cup to solidify his legacy.
