Let's give Mike Yeo some credit for the work he accomplished with the team so far. Of course, the Flyers only won 7 games since he has been appointed behind the bench, but the team's overall play has changed a lot, and you could argue that with a little bit of luck, they wouldn't be in a 5-game losing streak.
As the interim coach said yesterday after the OT loss against Carolina, they are playing well enough to win, but they are not getting the results. He also added that his club was at a tipping point in terms of changing the culture.
To be honest, Yeo can't do much more than right now. A lot of important guys are injured and still, the team is playing very well. They should've won their last 3 games.
With that being said, Yeo is probably not going to be the head coach next season, but we could imagine that his good work could be rewarded by giving him an assistant coach job. So, watch out for this.
