The Philadelphia Phantoms ,the AHL affiliate to the Philadelphia Flyers were in Bridgeport to face off against the New York Islanders affiliate the Bridgeport Islanders.
With the score tied up 1-1 in the second period Flyers prospect Mason Willman would clear the puck from his end towards the Islanders net, Islanders goaltender Ken Appleby would miss play it and let in the goal from 180 feet away.
That turned out to be the winning goal as the Phantoms would add another goal late in the 2nd period and pick up a 3-1 victory. I'm sure Ken Appleby won't forget this night that's for sure.
