The Philadelphia Flyers are riding a three game winning streak into St. Louis tonight as they take on the Blues for their third straight road game. A familiar face meets the orange and black tonight as the Flyers take on Kevin Hayes, who was traded to St. Louis almost a year ago and whose name has been involved in plenty of rumors lately.

The first huge rumor came a week ago when the Flyers traded Cutter Gauthier to the Anaheim Ducks unexpectedly. Rumors started to fly that the reason Gauthier did not want to play for the Flyers was because Kevin Hayes, fellow Boston College Eagle, influenced him away from the Flyers.
That rumor was quickly shut down as head coach John Tortorella delivered one of the most memorable press conferences in Philadelphia sports history last week.

Prior to tonight's matchup, a new report by The Athletic's Jeremy Rutherford came out about last years trade between the two teams, that could have potentially involved more pieces.
It is reported that originally the trade was also supposed to include defenseman Travis Sanheim in exchange for Torey Krug along with the original Kevin Hayes deal. That part of the deal, however, fell through and the defenseman stayed put with their respected teams.
For the Flyers, it's a blessing in disguise that Sanheim and Krug were not traded as Sanheim has had a decently productive season and Krug has just one goal on the season thus far.
