With some of the bigger names off the board, there are still some players that are free agents that could certainly help out any team. Today we discuss some of the forwards and defenseman that will be looking for a new home come the 2022-2023 season. Let's start with the forwards.
Patrice Bergeron, Boston Bruins
It would be very surprising if Bergeron returns to the Bruins for another year. The 36-year-old is going to be looking for another shot at winning the Stanley Cup, and the Bruins might not be the place. Bergeron brings an impressive resume having 5 Selke awards and a 2011 Stanley cup championship. Bergeron has 982 points (400 goals, 582 assists) in 1,216 games during 18 seasons with Boston and has played 167 Stanley Cup Playoff games (127 points; 49 goals, 78 assists)

Game 4 of the Stanley Cup final is a game Kadri will never forget. After suffering a broken thumb, he returned to not only play, but score the game-winning goal. The current Stanley cup champion will be looking for a new team as it seems, which comes to a surprise as he did play a part in winning the Stanley Cup this past season. The Aves would need to make cap space in order to sign him, letting go possible Sam Girard. The 31-year-old forward had 15 points (seven goals, eight assists) in 16 playoff games, including a game winner. Kadri will be an asset on any team he joins, I expect him to go pretty soon.
John Klingberg, Dallas Stars
«You can't always get what you want». Truer words were never spoken in the case of John Klingberg, as he essentially wanted to remain with the Dallas Stars but neither side could agree on a contract. He had 47 points (six goals, 41 assists) in 74 regular-season games and one assist in seven playoff games last season. Also, being one of the better powerplay «Quarterbacks», he probably won't last to much longer on the market. Klingberg has 20 power-play points last season.
P.K. Subban, New Jersey Devils
Subban certainly isn't the big offensive defenseman he once was, but carries the traits of toughness, leadership, and determination. The 33-year-old had 22 points (five goals, 17 assists) in 77 games last season. P.K. is on the decline but will be able to contribute on the ice.
