As the season came to an early end for the Philadelphia Flyers, both coaches and players can now take the time to recover from any fallout and regroup.
This gives players the opportunity to reflect on their season, regardless of its success, and evaluate their position and role within the organization.
Travis Sanheim recently shared his perspective on his current situation.

Sanheim had an exceptional 2020-2021 season but faced new challenges in 2022-2023 with a different coach and hockey style. Despite high expectations under John Tortorella's leadership, Sanheim struggled with inconsistency and shifts in defensive partners. His failure to adapt at times resulted in being benched in Calgary.
However, Sanheim made progress towards the end of the season by improving his offensive contributions and repairing his relationship with the coach. Looking ahead, Sanheim is determined to better understand Tortorella's expectations and work towards greater consistency in the next season.
