Now that the Philadelphia Flyers are officially entering a 'multi-year' rebuilding process, says Dave Scott, injured Flyers forwards are now in no rush to return.
Names such as Sean Couturier and Cam Atkinson are two forwards who the Flyers deeply miss, and have not played in a single game this season despite former Flyers general manager Chuck Fletcher stating they were 'fine' at the start of the year.
Couturier just won the Selke trophy a few years back, claiming the best defensive forward in the entire NHL over names like Patrice Bergeron, Sidney Crosby, Anze Kopitar and more, to put it lightly, he is deeply missed.
The good news is Couturier has been reportedly skating 'for weeks' on his own, and will join the team in practice shortly.

Sean Couturier continues his recovery from second back surgery. He has been skating for weeks now.
We can only hope the Flyers medical staff does not clear him to play before he is fully recovered, or it may be career ending. There is not enough matter in the rest of the year for Coots to return.
