After becoming a Philadelphia Flyer late Monday night, former number six overall pick Jamie Drysdale made his Flyers debut on Wednesday night as the Flyers welcomed the Montreal Canadiens to the Wells Fargo Center. After Drysdale earned an assist as the Flyers skated past Montreal with a 3-2 win in the shootout, Drysdale impressed all of Philadelphia with his postgame interview.
Drysdale was already becoming a fan favorite as he contributed right away as he earned an assist on a Morgan Frost powerplay goal. With a team who has struggled on the powerplay all season, Drysdale wasted no time making an impact.
Not only was Drysdale all smiles after contributing in his first game as a Flyer and earning a win, Drysdale was able to make his debut in front of his parents; something the Flyers made sure of after trading for Drysdale.

After the game, Drysdale spoke on how grateful he is to be apart of the Flyers and how thankful he was that the team offered to fly his parents out for his first game in Philadelphia. Days after Cutter Gauthier said he doesn't want to be a part of Philadelphia, Drysdale confirmed that Philadelphia is a first class organization.
"It shows what a good organization this is. Right when I got out here they asked me if I wanted my parents out for my first game, and obviously I said yes."
