Justin Braun, the Philadelphia Flyers defenseman, played his last NHL game of the year on Thursday night during the Flyers' 5-4 overtime win against the Chicago Blackhawks. Braun was sitting at 199 career points heading into this game, and his coach, John Tortorella, put him on the power play to try to give him a shot at his 200th point. Unfortunately, it didn't work out for him.

However, Braun's teammates noticed something interesting on their first goal scored that night. Braun's stick touched the puck, meaning it should have been his 200th point, but the referees didn't notice it. As a result, Morgan Frost and Travis Konecny are both making public pleas to the league to review their first goal and give Braun the secondary assist he deserves.
Konecny stated, "Did he end up getting it? He will. He has to. If you watch it, he hits it up to me. And then there's a little scrum, but no one touches the puck in full control or anything, and then it ends up in the net. So I mean, I think whoever can change that, go take a look at it." It remains to be seen whether the league will review the play and award Braun the secondary assist, but his teammates are certainly advocating for him.
