Shocking news out of San Jose
Well, nobody saw that coming!
After 19 years as GM for the San Jose Sharks, Doug Wilson announced that he will step down at the end of the season."These past 19 years serving as general manager of the San Jose Sharks have been a privilege and one of the most fulfilling and enjoyable periods of my life," said Wilson. "I have been incredibly fortunate to work for and with some of the most talented and passionate people in the game of hockey," said the Sharks' GM.
As GM of the Sharks, Wilson succeeded at building a very competitive roster. However, the club wasn't able to win the Stanley Cup, even though the Sharks reached the Stanley Cup Final in 2016, which they lost in 6 games against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
