These two trade proposals could fix the Flyers

The end of the regular season for teams who won't make the playoffs is imminent and it finally gives the hockey mob a chance to hypothesize trades they want to see made. For the Flyers, this couldn't be truer.

Brotherlypuck has compiled a list of possible moves, with a need for bonafide scoring threat and experience, these two trade proposals are the most interesting.

1. Patrik Laine in exchange for Travis Konecny, Morgan Frost, Oskar Lindblom and a 2024 first round pick.

"The Flyers have circled around Laine in the past when his tension were high in Winnipeg, but a deal was ultimately not reached. Now that his days in Columbus may be limited and the Flyers desperately need some scoring, it wouldn't be surprising if they try and acquire his rights this summer."

Laine is still in his prime. At 24, he's having a solid bounce back season in Columbus with 25 goals this year. If Fletcher can clear enough cap to resign him, this trade may work out well. We could possibly see a Artemi Panarin and New York Rangers type of situation, which led to a very speedy rebuild.

2. Timo Meier for Travis Konecny, Wade Allison, 2024 first and 2023 third.

"The 25-year-old winger is in the middle of a breakout season with 30 goals and 65 points in 60 games. He's got one year left on his current deal at a $6 million cap hit."

Meier is another player just reaching his apex right now. The Flyers will soon have cap space and to speed up the rebuild, adding a player like Meier is a suave idea. Konecny is aplyer they've been wanting to move for a while now and Wade Allison's potential is being hindered by his injury issues. With a change of scenery, they may be able to help another team out. Getting a superstar in return isn't a bad idea either.
