Dave "The Hammer" Schultz is a well-known figure in the Philadelphia Flyers community and was an integral part of the Broad St. Bullies era.

He is renowned for his role as an enforcer, which he embodied perfectly. In fact, he even utilized this role during a cross-promotion with the professional wrestling company, WCW in the 1990s.

During the 1994 WCW Slamboree event, held in Philadelphia, Schultz served as a referee in a no-holds-barred match between Cactus Jack/Kevin Sullivan and the Nasty Boys.
The match was enjoyable, and even Schultz got some hits in on the Nasty Boys.
What was most interesting, however, was his collaboration with Mick Foley, also known as "Cactus Jack," on how to throw punches professionally.
Foley encouraged him not to hold back, as it would not be necessary.
