Even though the NHL season is young, there are teams needing to improve their rosters. Three such teams include the Montreal Canadiens, Ottawa Senators, and the Vancouver Canucks.

GM Pierre Dorion may just rely on his prospects first before turning to a trade. He has the assets needed to make a deal, so se shall see what goes down.
Ekman-Larsson has already stated that he will not waive his no-trade clause of his contract which goes through the 2026-27 season.
Boeser, who is having a down season may attract a trade partner. He is a proven scorer, tallying 20 or more goals in four seasons in Vancouver.
Another player who is gathering interest due to his reasonable $850,000 salary is Schenn. The veteran could be a good choice for a number of teams needing help on the blueline.
