Tony DeAngelo Receives Horrible Damage That Results in $5,000 Fine From The NHL Player Safety
George Parros and the Department of Players Safety recently disciplined New York Islanders forward Matthew Barzal.
Barzal felt the consequences of high-sticking Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Tony DeAngelo, no doubt, as he felt his pockets emptier.

The NHL announced today that Barzal would be fined $5,000.00 for high-sticking everyone's least favorite defenseman. According to the NHLPA's collective bargaining agreement with the league, the fine levied was the maximum allowed.
A high-sticking fine was imposed under the high-sticking rule, but it went beyond that. When the two players were jockeying for the puck near the boards, Barzal turned around and swung his stick into his face.

After the puck battle was over, DeAngelo expected none of it.
At the moment, Barzal's only offense with player safety has not resulted in major discipline, but it could, should he find himself in the DOPS crosshairs yet again.
