On Thursday night as the Flyers took the ice at home against the Columbus Blue Jackets, the NHL announced that forward Travis Konecny will be representing the Flyers in Toronto in the 2024 NHL All-Star game on Feb. 1-3. This is Konecny's second career All-Star appearance, with his first appearance coming in the 2019-20 season.

Konecny is off to a terrific start to the season as he leads the team with 33 points on 18 goals and 15 assists. This season Konecny has also shined on the penalty kill as he leads the team and comes in second in the NHL in shorthanded goals with four.
Not only has Konecny been producing in the stat sheet, but Konecny has also been a crucial part of the Flyers locker room and has been a tremendous leader on a team full of young, developing players.
One example came during the road trip in Seattle where Konecny was not only battling an illness, but he was able to lace up and score a shorthanded goal in the first period. Konecny also put his body on the line on defense, using the back of his leg to block a shot. Camera's showed Konecny in pain all night but he showed his toughness and played all the way through.
The 2024 NHL All-Star game will be hosted by the Toronto Maple Leafs at Scotiabank Arena from Feb. 1-3, concluding with the All-Star game on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 7 p.m. on ABC.
