The Philadelphia Flyers General Manager Chuck Fletcher waited until the last day to make any changes during Friday's NHL trade deadline day.

Making a couple moves, the most notable change was between Fletcher and the Los Angeles Kings, trading forward Zach MacEwen to the Kings for forward Brendan Lemieux and a 2023 5th round draft pick.
However, it seems that Fletcher didn't even want Lemieux but was more interested in helping the LA Kings with a free favour, according to Hockey Insider Pierre Lebrun:
Lebrun would share: Chuck Fletcher said the Zack MacEwen deal originally started with the fifth-round pick. But the Kings needed to move Brendan Lemieux to get MacEwen. So Fletcher "thought I'd make it easy on them" and said he could just take him and give him a 20-game tryout.

Lemieux was a highly touted prospect when he was drafted 31st overall back in the 2014 NHL draft by the Buffalo Sabres, he was later traded to the Winnipeg Jets, then the New York Rangers before going to the Los Angeles Kings with many Gm's saying Lemieux has attitude problems.
